The site is back online as of late yesterday. It turns out that there was a problem with the DNS at one of the companies in South America that contracts to us.

302 Hijack - I don't think so
There has recently been some discussion on various forums and blogs that HotFrog is involved in devious techniques to gain traffic. This is simply not true.
In particular, posts on both Search Engine Watch and Search Engine Roundtable start by stating that newly launched HotFrogUK.co.uk is involved in a '302 hijack' of some UK websites. Of course, this is totally incorrect. The 302 redirect that we use to track outbound weblink clicks is actually within JavaScript that gets run on the client machine - the search engines don't see this at all and it does not hijack the search engine results for other websites.
We emailed Ian McAnerin who is a Search Engine Watch moderator and is the person who originally made this accusation explaining that he is incorrect and, after some prompting, has made a retraction at the bottom of the blog post. Prominent Google blogger Matt Cutts has also weighed into the debate and thrown his support behind HotFrog has said that HotFrog is doing everything correctly.
Other bloggers have picked up the original accusation by Ian McAnerin and have republished this as being true when it is not.
Mr McAnerin has since been contacted again to make a more formal and more public retraction but is no longer answering emails.

HotFrog now has it's own blog
After a year and a half of development and launching into 19 countries (so far), HotFrog finally has it's own blog.
This is the place were you can ask the development and admin team questions regarding the product and we'll make the odd announcement or two.
If you want to keep up-to-date on where HotFrog is currently operating just go to our general information site at www.hotfrog.com.
